Unity in Diversity Awards |
| |
|
The principle of oneness of humanity entails not only the elimination of prejudice from our lives, but
also an appreciation of the diversity of humanity. At the local level, the Bahá’ís of West Vancouver
have promoted this principle through an annual project called the Unity in Diversity Awards. Every year,
nomination forms are distributed to the community at large and a panel of judges from the community is
chosen. An individual and/or an organization that has promoted unity among peoples of diverse ethnic,
racial, or religious backgrounds is selected and recognized through these awards.
