  Unity in Diversity Awards
The principle of oneness of humanity entails not only the elimination of prejudice from our lives, but also an appreciation of the diversity of humanity. At the local level, the Bahá’ís of West Vancouver have promoted this principle through an annual project called the Unity in Diversity Awards. Every year, nomination forms are distributed to the community at large and a panel of judges from the community is chosen. An individual and/or an organization that has promoted unity among peoples of diverse ethnic, racial, or religious backgrounds is selected and recognized through these awards.

  UNICEF
The Bahá’í children and youth of West Vancouver have been assisting UNICEF in its annual Orange Box fundraising campaign for over ten years. Boxes are distributed to local retailers in late September and collected in early November for this Halloween project.

  CODE
For the past five years, the children and youth of Bahá’í Classes have been participating in the Project Love campaign of CODE, a Canadian organization dedicated to international literacy. The project involves sending school supplies to children in Africa on Valentine's Day of each year.
